ICM Case due to fire on a slope in Aachen West

Rail traffic interrupted in Aachen West

On Friday 28 June, there was a fire on an embankment near Aachen in which DB InfraGO cables were damaged.
As initial estimates suggest that the restrictions for international freight traffic will remain in place for more than three days, DB InfraGO has decided to activate International Contingency Management.

To this end, the first telcos are being held between the infrastructure operators in order to find good solutions for freight transport together.
We will provide more detailed information on the duration as soon as it becomes available.
