To allow seamless and international tracing of freight train runs along Rail Freight Corridors the German terminal operator DUSS will in future profit from international train data disposed by Train Information System (TIS). The web-based application TIS provided by RailNetEurope (RNE) delivers real-time train data for international and to some degree for national freight trains to railway undertakings and terminal operators.

The Go-Live of the new changeover point for the electric power supply systems on the border between Emmerich station in Germany and Zevenaar in the Netherlands, significantly simplifies rail freight between the two neighboring countries. From now on international freight trains from and to the Port of Rotterdam have to switch their power supply system only once from 25,000 to 15,000 volt AC.
