Update on the ICM Case - Aachen-Cologne Line

Update on the ongoing ICM Case between Aachen and Cologne

Today, DB InfraGO announced that some ad hoc traffic is allowed on the re-routing lines in the Aachen-Cologne area again. The RUs were informed directly about the number of paths available. Additionally, the RUs have been kept up-to-date with four international telcos hosted by the RFC.
The concept with the limited amount of ad hoc traffic will start tomorrow and will last until the 15th of December, when the Duisburg-Dusseldorf line, an additional re-routing option, becomes available again after being closed due to a TCR. Following this re-opening, the ban on ad hoc traffic is lifted. The Aachen-Cologne line will re-open on the 23rd of December with a reduced speed of 120 km/h.

The full situation is shown on the map below. The ICM will continue until the 23rd of December.
