2018

The international re-routing scenarios 2018 for RFC Rhine-Alpine are published on the RFC Customer Information Platform (CIP). They focus on RFC Rhine-Alpine sections for which re-routing possibilities are known to be limited.

We are happy to announce that the Executive Board of RFC Rhine-Alpine approved the 2018 update of the RFC Rhine-Alpine Implementation Plan in its last meeting on 20 November 2018.

The C-OSS would like to invite you to have a look at our product in international freight traffic on RFC Rhine-Alpine: the flexible concept for Reserve Capacity (RC).

In addition to fixed pre-arranged paths for the annual timetable, the C-OSS also offers reserve capacity according to Art. 14.5. EU Regulation 913/2010 in a flexible manner.

The Bastioni and Sommergibile lines that run parallel to each other under the collapsed Morandi bridge, are scheduled to reopen on Thursday, 4 October 2018. The restoration involves four tracks for the northbound movement of goods from the port of Genoa and passengers to Acqui/Ovada and Busalla/Arquata via Sampierdarena/Rivarolo. This reinstates railway traffic to the level before the collapse of the Morandi bridge, with some minor changes to the timetables to be determined by RFI in the next few days, as the tracks of the Succursale line are still blocked by debris.
